"Son of a Beach"
2020
My favorite subjects to photograph are people, as portraiture or in the streets, but during a global pandemic this became very difficult to achieve. I was lost not knowing what to do. After many weeks of soul searching I came to the conclusion that this was all a test of my photographic style and skills. I started taking many photographs in my makeshift studio, still life and product shooting but, I still had a need to get out to get my creative juices flowing. It was during this time, in a new country for me, that I started exploring abandoned buildings, barns and factories. Through complete chance I discovered a beach town in Ontario that had been abandoned since the outbreak of the coroner virus pandemic.
